The mission of the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education is to provide a source of communication, development, and support for all leaders responsible for facilitating the music education of the students of New York State.

The purpose of the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education shall be to:

• Improve the competency of its members and the program in Music Education in Nassau County in New York State.
• Promote high standards of administrative leadership in the area of Music Education.
• Cooperate with the State Education Department by providing technical guidance in their efforts to structure and implement projects designed to advance these educational programs.
• Work in harmony with other NYSCAME Chapters, local, state and national organizations for Music education in an effort to advance appropriate and worthwhile professional endeavors.
