Kevin has served as President of the Nassau Music Educators Association (N.M.E.A.) as well as the President of the Nassau County Chapter of New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education (N.Y.S.C.A.M.E).  From 1977-2003, he served on the Executive Council of NYSSMA as the Nassau County Zone 13 representative.  He was also the co-director of the professional development workshops for the Nassau Chapter of NYSCAME.

An active All State Woodwind, All State Jazz, and a major organization festival adjudicator, Kevin assumed the position of Instrumental Jazz Coordinator in 2009 and moved on to become the chairperson for the All-State Instrumental Jazz Ensemble in 2012.
