
Nassau NYSCAME has officially opened applications for our annual scholarships, recognizing outstanding high school seniors across Nassau County. Eligible students, who have met your school districts parameters, are encouraged to apply.

Scholarship applications are currently open in Da Capo.

Deadline for completed Nassau NYSCAME competitive and non-competitive scholarships are Friday, April 17th. Incomplete applications will not be accepted after this date.

School Districts with multiple high schools have the opportunity to nominate multiple students for the non-competitive scholarship.

Reminder to all Directors: A letter of recommendation is required for each scholarship application (this does not apply to the Leadership Award). The recommendation form can be accessed through your NYSCAME daCapo account.

Directions:
Non-Competitive Scholarship: Leadership Award – each member is responsible to setting the parameters and selecting a student in their district for this award. Students who have been selected will receive a $100.00 scholarship.
Log in to members.nassaunyscame.org, using the key on the top right, make sure you are under a “Member/Director” account access. Go to Scholarship on the left hand side, and submit the name of your student.
Competitive Scholarship: Nassau NYSCAME will be awarding several $1000.00 scholarships to deserving students who are going into music. Please share the scholarship application link with parents/students whom you feel would be a good candidate to apply. Please note: The student/parent creates an application, and you will be notified. This link is also at the “members.nassaunyscame.org” page before you log in.

Dr. Joel Ratner Memorial Scholarship is designed to recognize a deserving student interested in studying a field of music in their post-high school career.
Kevin Bayen Memorial Scholarship is designed to recognize a teacher pursuing NYS administrator certification (SDL) with plans on leading a music or arts education program.
